I was nervous ordering Demeyere pans from Germany to New Orleans, but the savings were enormous, so I decided to try it. I have now received two shipments of cookware (7 pans total) from Berondi. Each shipment took about 3 weeks to arrive (although they don't promise it that quickly). There were no import duties levied in the U.S, The 19% European V.A.T. chargee were deducted from my purchase price before I charged them. This is definitely the most economical way to purchase Demeyere pans. I spent a lot of time figuring out the best way to buy it because of thr cost. But I consider the Belgian-made Demereye Atlantis cookware line to be the finest in the world and am THRILLED with my purchases. The conical saucier is fabulous. I'm whipping up souffles daily with it. Also, the firm of Berondi was easy to deal with, and the goods were shipped in sturdy boxes (Demeyere itself is packed in ultra thick cardboard from the factory). Anyway, my long review is to help ease buyer trepidation about purchasing from overseas. For me, it was worth a 3 week wait to save money. As soon as my budget allows, I'm ordering more.
