Shuttletransfer Flughafen Newark nach Manhattan
Leider klappte der Transfer vom Flughafen Newark zum Hotel nach Manhattan nicht reibungslos. Zuerst musste man den Schalter finden. Dieser nennt sich welcome Center und koordiniert alle Shuttletransfers aller Anbieter, also auch unseres Go Airport Shuttle. Nachdem wir eine Abholzeit (16.45 Uhr) bekommen hatten mussten wir ,wie viele andere Reisende, warten und warten. Mit dem gleichen Shuttleservice wurden dann etliche Reisende, die Abhholzeiten nach uns hatten, von Fahrern abgeholt nur wir und weitere Reisende nicht. Die Wartezeit Betrug teilweise über 2 Stunden. Als Begründung für die unerträglichen Wartezeiten nannten die nicht für die Einteilung zuständigen Damen des Welcome Center den starken Verkehr in Manhattan. Allerdings kamen Fahrer anderer Shuttleunternehmen viel häufiger. Als unser Fahrer dann auch endlich kam war es ca. 18.30 Uhr und wir waren schließlich kurz vor 20Uhr im Hotel, da unser Hotel als letztes angefahren wurde. Von übermäßigem Verkehr in Manhattan haben wir übrigens nichts mitbekommen. Der Rücktransport verlief dafür reibungslos und der Fahrer kam sehr pünktlich. Die Fahrt zum Flughafen dauerte dann auch nur 35 Minuten. Mein Fazit: Ich würde den Transfer nicht mehr vorab buchen sondern erst am Flughafen. Dann hat man ggfs. auch noch Einfluss darauf, mit welchem Shuttle man gefahren wird und hat auch noch etwas vom Anreisetag. Schließlich landete unser Flug bereits um 14 Uhr.
