Order did not arrive, 2 months without concrete statements.
Ordered tyres online in mid-March, as I had done many times before on this site. The order was confirmed immediately and I also received the dispatch confirmation 2 days later. I had expected a delivery time of around 6-8 working days. All good so far!!
After 7 days, I checked whether the tyres had already arrived at the DPD parcel centre.
Lo and behold, the tyres should already have been delivered, or shouldn't they? - NO
I didn't receive any tyres. After asking, the seller sent me the proof of delivery with a signature that I don't recognise and which is very reminiscent of a simple copy of my surname.
According to the sender, I was supposed to fill out a declaration for an enquiry request, which I filled out correctly. However, the seller gave me the wrong dispatch dates, so I had to do it all over again.
So until then: beginning of April, delivery should be at the end of March. No tyres with me, workshop appointment postponed, money already paid & not directly reclaimable via PayPal.
In the meantime, I even received an email saying that GLS (another parcel service provider) had been commissioned to investigate. Why GLS not DPD? Or DPD not GLS? ?!?
After two weeks with no response, I asked again via Mail. The answer: No new shipment of replacement tyres and no refund, just the request to wait for the new invastigation order.
At the beginning of May, I emailed the seller again. Again the reference to the investigation order.
Status today (18 May): No tyres / No refund / In the meantime increased costs, regarding workshop and replacement tyres.
Of course, the problem here lies with the parcel service provider, but an end consumer cannot be left in the lurch like this. Especially after several attempts at communication, which only comes from the end consumer. After more than 8 weeks of research, I don't believe that my tyres will turn up.
My last purchase & recommendation: next time buy tyres from other sides, even if the single tyre cost 5 to 10 € more then on this site. Hopfully the service is better.
