FAKE REVIEWS, AWFUL, CON
AWFUL, FAKE REVIEWS, A COMPLETE CON AND WASTE OF MONEY,
I spilt juice over my Macbook Air. After taking it to Apple, it was determined that the laptop was fully functioning but may eventually break.
Some keys were sticky and irritating so I decided to get my laptop cleaned.
I arrived at 'Computer Expert' and the assistant agreed that he would clean out my laptop and keyboard for 80 euros. We agreed a time to leave the laptop off and to collect it.
The next day, I arrived to leave my laptop off and was shamelessly told that I would have to pay an extra 30 euros to have it back by the date we agreed. Reluctantly, I agreed to collect it at a later date in order to not pay extra money as 80 euros to clean a laptop is already ridiculous.
One hour before the agreed collection time, I was phoned to be told that my laptop was cleaned and still functioning, but that it was impossible to clean the keyboard and that I would need to buy a new one. In response, I reminded the assistant that it was indeed possible to remove individual keys and clean them. He then told me that I was wrong. Upon arrival at the store, I then proceeded to show him a you tube video demonstrating individual keys being removed and cleaned from a Macbook!!! He then told me that I could do this myself.... but still (shamelessly) expected me to pay 80 euros for completing half of the agreed service!
Upon contact with the owner (who clearly knew nothing about the situation) I was told that this was not agreed (despite him never being there).
After refusing to pay 80 euros for an incomplete job, I was told that they only accept cash (clearly evading tax) and that I would not be provided with a receipt (again, illegal).
In sum, Computer expert is a complete rip off with absolutely zero customer service or honesty. I do not have any alternative computer repair recommendations, but ANY OTHER STORE IN VIENNA IS BETTER!
ALSO, upon reading some other negative reviews here, it is obvious that customers are offered discounts on services to write good google reviews!
