In 2023 I cancelled my contract with DAK due to constant administrative harassment after they tripled the cost of my health insurance because I was not responding to their letters fast enough. I moved to a private health assurance. Instead of accepting my cancellation, DAK unilaterally decided that I was still insured with them and they started claiming over 900 Euro per month from me plus additional costs every 3 days that they made up. When the amount reached 15,000 EURO, DAK started enforcing a collection through State collection agency though I was insured with another insurer and was paying contributions to another health insurance. It is only when I brought the case to the sozial Gericht Court that they stopped the enforcement. 3 years down the line they have not stopped stressing me. Today I just got a letter from the Court where Frau "XXX" I was again ensured with DAK, which I am not, saying that they are claiming now 43,358 Euro from me for healthcare premiums. The stress caused to me by DAK over the past 3 years is extreme. Based on my experience, DAK is a mess. I do not recommend DAK.
