be careful- hidden costs

I paid >300€ extra for a morning flight to enjoy the full holiday experience from day 1 (esp because the hotel is really not cheap).
Suddenly I get rebooked to the cheaper original flight in the night- meaning I will arrive with a child at 5 am instead of lunch time and miss almost a full day I paid for.
Options are : cancel (as if there was a chance to book something now!!) or accept.
To me that smells like cheating, luring you into paying for an upgrade that never existed and downgrade.

We understand how disappointing it is when the first day of your vacation cannot be enjoyed as planned.Changes like these are made by the airlines and are beyond the control of the tour operator. They can occur for various reasons.
Because vtours does not have its own flight contingents, we are dependent on the alternatives provided by the airlines. Even though flight changes can be frustrating, they are often unavoidable and unpredictable. Please note that airlines explicitly reserve the right to make changes to flight times or routes. This information is also mentioned in your travel documents.
