On January 2, 2026, I purchased canned dog food sold at a Billa store in Graz, Austria. The product promised high quality and safety standards on its packaging. However, after opening the can and serving the food, I discovered a foreign object inside—a solid, non-edible item that clearly does not belong in animal feed.

The presence of such a foreign body represents a significant safety and quality failure and poses a potential risk to animal health. This kind of contamination should never occur and strongly suggests deficiencies in the production or packaging process. What is even more concerning is that after reporting the incident and submitting a formal complaint, my claim was ignored and no meaningful response was provided.

Pet owners trust manufacturers to meet basic safety standards. Finding a foreign object in pet food, combined with the lack of adequate customer support, seriously undermines that trust.
